Dr David Murray is a U.K. trained Orthodontic Specialist. David was born and raised in Fife, Scotland, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in dental surgery (BDS) with Commendation from the University of Dundee in 2015.

Before embarking on a career in Orthodontics, he worked in a number of dental specialties, including Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Restorative Dentistry, and Paediatric Dentistry. This background gives him an excellent foundation in the specialties orthodontists work closely with, allowing him to deliver holistic treatment plans and excellent outcomes for his patients.
David completed his three-year Specialist Orthodontic Training in Scotland in 2022 and furthered his orthodontic experience by completing a further two-year Consultant-level training. This additional training was focused on the management of complex orthodontic treatment, including (but not limited to) patients with Orofacial Clefting, Orthognathic (Jaw Surgery), Hypodontia (Missing Teeth), Severe Impactions, Dental Trauma, and Periodontal (Gum) Disease. You can therefore be assured that whatever your presentation, David will have seen it before!
Before relocating to New South Wales, David worked as an NHS Consultant within NHS Tayside, delivering high-level complex orthodontic care and combined this with a Specialist Orthodontic Practice. He is experienced using an array of orthodontic appliances, including fixed braces and clear aligners, to deliver the care that you require and deserve.
David is a firm believer in continuous learning and seeks every opportunity to advance his knowledge, skills, and experience. He is currently a member of both the British Orthodontic Society and the European Orthodontic Society. David regularly attends and presents at national and international conferences, most recently presenting at the 10th International Orthodontic Congress in Rio, Brazil. He has also published multiple articles in Peer-Reviewed Journals.
David is extremely approachable and prides himself on building excellent rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds. He is passionate about utilising the latest orthodontic advancements to deliver the outcome and care you expect from a Specialist Orthodontist.
Outside the clinic, David is a bit of a foodie and, having recently relocated to Sydney, very much welcomes your food recommendations! He is also a keen sportsman, captaining university teams at both Golf and Football (Soccer). When not at work or on the golf course, David is a keen traveller, having already visited six of the seven continents, and in the winter he loves to escape to the mountains to Ski!
